This is very interesting stuff. I grew up in a Protestant church with Christian Zionist leanings (though it was never labeled that). Most of what you say is spot on. One thing you said though confuses me.
You said that Christian Zionists will accept the Antichrist as the second coming of Christ. How can this be, since they expect themselves to be raptured prior to Christ’s second coming (and before the Antichrist comes to power)?

Thanks for the comment, Joe. That does seem to be a problem, but if the Antichrist comes claiming to be Christ and makes “lying wonders” that fool the “pre-trib” dispensationalists into thinking that they’ve been successfully raptured and spared the tribulation, I suppose that could solve the problem. Then there are the “mid-trib” and “post-trib” folks. I suppose that a variety of “lying wonders” could be custom tailored for each.
