“Reconquest” is a militant, engaging, and informative Catholic radio program featuring interviews with interesting guests as well as commentary by your host. It is a radio-journalistic extension of the Crusade of Saint Benedict Center.
Each weekly, one-hour episode of Reconquest will debut RIGHT HERE on Wednesday night at 8:00 PM Eastern (7:00 PM Central). It will then be rebroadcast according to the Crusade Channel programming schedule (note: all times listed are Central time).
I did listen to this show and am well familiar with Dr. Horvat’s work.
The most important “take-away” I got from this fine show was…
Light the way.
They’re not THE way.
The Way of the Cross is THE way.
Dr. Horvat pointed out how we little people as Catholics can truly live out the gospel of Jesus Christ in how we treat others and what we take a small stand for in our daily lives. Dr. Horvat said his book is not really about the absolute solution to our societal problems but these little ways of walking the true Christian path in our daily lives lights the way to the true solutions. Lighting the way is absolutely indispensable as there can be no solutions at all unless these seeming small actions of we little people happen. As I have entered the twilight of my life, I begin to see the ripple effect of little stands I take and how my behavior in little things has far reaching impact.
I know there are many good bible verses I could and should put in here but I will simply say for now that clinging to the written word of the New Testament is extremely important and I am sad that this emphasis is mostly missing from the many Catholic writers and commentators I learn from.
Christus vincet.
Christus regnat.
Christus imperat.
