nice one and would want to get updates
Thank you very much!
Excellent podcast! I only wish you would have expounded upon how modernism (especially its evolutionary aspect) is self-defeating. It should be blatantly obvious to most people, but for those who are less versed in philosophy, the reason is this:
If you have a thesis – all truth can evolve
And an antithesis – no truth can evolve
You would have a synthesis – some truth can evolve.
It doesn’t take long to realize that eventually modernism will be one of the truths that are eventually rejected by this evolution of truth, so that the true modernist, given enough time, should espouse rigid Catholic orthodoxy. Of course for some reason that never happens. As GK Chesterton wrote in “The Conversion of an Anarchist”, “The anarchist will tolerate a hundred heresies, but he will not tolerate orthodoxy”.
Ultimately Modernism is a self-defeating, pompous, and hypocritical doctrine.
Thank you!
By the way. Don’t sell your self short on the solo episodes! Often times they are just as good as with guests.
Thank you for that vote of confidence!
